You're a prime example of the failure of the public school system.

SEC 14.01.3.2

quote:

If at any time before or after matriculation in a member institution a student-athlete or any member of his/her family receives or agrees to receive, directly or indirectly, any aid or assistance beyond or in addition to that permitted by the Bylaws of this Conference
(except such aid or assistance as such student-athlete may receive from those persons on whom the student is naturally or legally dependent for support),
quote:

such student- athlete shall be ineligible for competition in any intercollegiate sport within the Conference for the remainder of his/her college career.

What part of that don't you understand dumbass?

Irrelevant to my point, which is that this ruling does not = the conclusion of the investigation and it is quite possible that the hammer could still drop.

The NCAA concluded on Monday that a violation of amateurism rules occurred, therefore Auburn University declared the student-athlete ineligible yesterday for violations of NCAA amateurism rules.

Was this publicized? It wasnt on the SECr yesterday or monday was it?

Key words.

I'm pretty sure any court in the world would agree that if you are negotiating a pay for play scenario, you are agreeing to receiving payment. Maybe that's just me though.

What this means is the NCAA has no evidence that Cam had any knowledge or that a payment was ultimately made.

Incorrect. They said insufficient evidence at this time.

That would lead one to believe they have some evidence, but not what they deem enough to nail him with, yet.

I never said I thought it was over. If you think I look ignorant, imagine how ignorant the collective SECr looks about this whole thing to me. I've kept the same story all along.

Now I get to laugh at the retards on this board and I'll be damned if you are going rain on my parade, motherfricker .

Seriously though, for all the time the NCAA has had to get info and all the stories that broke, their clearance of Cam is DAMN good news for Auburn right now.

TiM - You do realize that the reinstatement of CN came from the reinstatement department of the NCAA and not the enforcement department, right?

I would just like to know how Auburn declared him ineligible this week after all regular season games, and the NCAA ruled so fast just in time for the SEC Championship game this week that he is eligible. Something is fishy with this. Either Auburn is completely in the clear and has been working with the NCAA, and the investigation is out to get other schools in trouble(Miss. State) or they're giving Auburn false hope. I just think that if it has been proven that his father asked for money, and if that is against the rules, then that should be enough. To say the player did not know what his father was doing is just an insult to the intelligence of us all.

Oh I'd be happy too if I was you. Just saying that most major investigations like this take much longer than this one has so far. And like many others said the bama textbook guys were reinstated before being ruled ineligible.

Although I think that this is the best news Auburn fans have heard about this in a while, the investigation isn't over by any stretch. I don't get all the celebrating. Either way, we look dirty as shite, and I hate that.

I have links to Cameron being eligible, what I'm looking for is some sort of link to what you're saying. You can't say that we aubies are naive and not have some sort of proof that Cameron and Auburn are guilty. If some shite were being said about LSU, I believe, you'd be screaming for some proof that your team did something wrong as well. I also believe that what some random a-hole on a message board believes wouldn't be enough for you either...

Agreed. I still think this thing goes into next year. The NCAA doesn't resolve things this quickly in it's investigations. Ever.
