Potential for a Cheese Grits super-regional dream.

What kind of craziness is this? Alabama has the 2nd longest active win streak in the SEC. Don't be jealous.

Hot damn did Auburn take a tumble. National seed to traveling for a regional.

Kentucky is still 1 game behind Florida and MsState... If they were tied with MsState at the end of the season it would be shared I guess but we took 2/3 from Kentucky.

They did a week ago before Alabama swept Auburn...

You do realize that after this thunderous display of competency we are going to start bugging you to do things like this for basketball and football right?
What were you thinking to make such an error?

And if State shares with U.K., UK gets the national seed.
Either way, Kentucky gets the national seed which is why ALL projections have Kentucky as a national seed.

yeah but what they are forgetting is that LSU is gonna get Canned... break out the broom b!tches.

I highly doubt State sweeps LSU.

Thought RPI is important in baseball especially regarding seeding.

RPI isn't important at all in seeding. Only the models i run in my head matter... In all seriousness We would have to win the SEC outright most likely or some other odd events happen like Oregon sweeping Oregon state and us sharing the title along with a bunch of random events that could boost our RPI just a fuzz. Here is how it plays out... We win the SEC outright this year... gain a national seed and play our way into the finals at Omaha and choke disastrously.

Yeah...things happen. But Auburn also is 6-2 in SEC series this year so far, that includes sweeping UF and beating Ark, MSU and SC. So seems to be a pretty big ding compared to other teams. All will be fine if AU wins in BR this weekend though.

There is actually no way AU can crawl out of the 37 RPI hole they've dug themselves at this point in the season. Possibly by sweeping the rest of the regular season and then sweeping the SEC Tourney.

My point still remains for Kentucky to remain a national seed they must win 5 out of their next 6 and have a higher RPI than the West division leader heading into the tournament.
The committee isn't going to give two SEC East teams a nod when the West is the harder division.
