who is good enough to beat Oklahoma in Omaha?

Every team on their side of the bracket. For additional perspective. If you asked every Ole Miss baseball fan and our coaches who they’d want to play in the Final if we made it the answer would be Oklahoma. Unanimously. Not taking a shot at the Sooners but Texas, Georgia and Alabama all possess superior rosters on paper.

Texas swept Oklahoma
Alabama won the series 2-1

Most of those games coulda went the other way

7-10 vs Bama
4-2 vs Bama
2-3 vs Bama

0-14 vs tx
3-4 vs tx
4-5 vs tx

We’re a much better team now than then. 3 of the losses were 1 run. 1 blowout. And then 2 more games 2 and 3 runs.

Simply saying we went 1-5 does not tell the whole story.

. The problem is OU had the toughest path to the finals. We have to beat Bama which we lost series to this year and winner of uga Texas … Texas series even though we was swept really came down to the 9h inning in two game in which OU had the lead . They won and uga would have beaten us if we played so even though we are hot like others have said so are uga Texas Ole miss Bama lol. Being honest not one Sooner fan thought we might be going to Omaha this season.

True. The tx series was in late Mar and Bama series early Apr (back to back weekends). Over 2 months ago hard to compare but OU is playing much better.

And we seem to have mostly benched Cam. He lasted 3 batters last time out. Our pitching has come on and especially Rager. He has given up 3 total hits in last 2 outings (7 and 6 innings). He was a true freshman facing the best teams in country and has learned a lot since Mar. Very confident now.

Do you think KU wishes there was a run rule in college baseball?

This is whats great about college baseball. Players are not far removed from being those kids. Kids will think its so cool the big older college players did that. This is what makes sports great we need more of it

The teams playing now are all playing better than they did in March.

Robins had a 3 HR game, and Tinney hit one 114 MPH between the flags in CF. With the big guns dialed in, I like our chances.

I'm wondering if they restart the OU game tonight. That storm seems parked over Lawrence right now.

Of course, ti make Supers you have to play well. To make Omaha you have to play even better. I think OU has more upside simply because of how many games they gave away and how they finished the reg season awful. And now a fire is lit and they have confidence. This is the OU I remember winning the first 3 games in Arlington and dominated.

Confidence can go a long ways. But OU is playing with house money and has less pressure. We are not supposed to win where tx is supposed to win every year and usually fails

can’t agree with you here since OU has had more draft picks since 2020 than every school but one .
