2 of the 3 were “strikes” lmao I guarantee you robot umpire calling those balls.

These 6 inch off the plate strikes are gonna have me pulling my hair out

Jones just watched 3 straight balls get called strikes wow
It's seems like there's an inning in every tournament game where the home plate ump just says "let's speed things up."

3 generous strike calls on 3 pitches to Jones.
Posted on 6/3/24 at 6:42 pm to bigDgator
I have no problem with Jones taking those pitches.

Oh so now the outside black isn’t a strike all of a sudden

LSU doesn't get the 1-2 call.

That wasn't outside black, but it was as good of a pitch as any of the 3 that Jones took.

I was expecting double digit scoring today. I don't know what aliens were on the mound wearing Gator uniforms this afternoon.

I’m calling it outside black because the ump called the others outside black
Realistically that one from helmers was probably like 3 inches off and the ones Jones took were like 5-6 inches off

This approaching Ackenhausen levels of overachievement from the CWS last year.
Need some cushion.

These announcers are obsessed with pitch counts etc. all that shite is out the window right now.

Do you think you are maybe putting your finger on the scales just a bit?
I am agreeing that you guys are getting the short end of the stick on some very similar looking pitches. IDK, I just flipped the game on during TWhite's AB.

This zone is basically the same one Hurd exploited all night last night. He’ll sometimes call those outside pitches balls but it’s been pretty consistently a massive zone left to right
Big reason why you’re not seeing that double digit score you expected to see. UNC pitchers just didn’t adjust to it last night until LSU put 8 on the board

I mean I would have to rewatch them, but my initial impression was that visually the Hellmers “ball” was noticeably closer to the plate than the Jared Jones “strikes”

I gotcha. He just didn't give the LSU pitcher that 1-2 pitch that looked pretty good. But they are gonna miss some, so you have to accept it or you will drive yourself crazy. And when I say yourself I mean myself.

I think it's coming. We don't have much pitching left at all and they dont either.

LSU fans travel so damn well. Of course, if I lived in Louisiana I'd do everything I could to get out of the state also.
You ever been to south east missouri?
