I grew up in the 70s. Sugar Bowls were not possible. He didn’t see last year but he saw 2016. It was a big deal. Of course he was a Saints fan because of Archie. And a Giants fan because of Charlie Connerly and Eli.

I got to shake Jake Gibbs hand in the liquor store in Oxford and he asked me my name and when I told him my name, he just called me by my last name because that’s how those old dudes do. I told him he was a Hall of Fame Yankee, and he just sat there and grinned.
