Actually agree..I would bet every Texas fan would trade every rowing title for a Basketball or Football title.

Texas has a very good athletic program overall historically , but only has 1 NC in football (2005) in the past 56 years.

Oklahoma Sooners tied with Florida Gators for second most in the SEC with 8. Does this mean that OU is pretty much SEC ready?

In the two years that OU and Texas have been in the SEC, the two former Little XII teams have won a combined 8 National Championships.

The other 14 SEC teams have combined to win a grand total of 12.

A Tulsa sportswriter wrote that OU and Texas have done more for the SEC than the SEC has done for OU and Texas-thanks to that partial share of Conference Revenue that has been paid to them as well as their stats on National Championships..

It is a very tough, competitive league and I am very pleased that we are members of the SEC, but for those who repeatedly said that it will be years before you two compete has proven to be very wrong.

Texas and Oklahoma have very impressive athletic programs, but until one of you wins a NC in football, the respect for what is accomplished in other sports will be somewhat muted. The same with men's basketball but to a lesser degree.

I'm sure most fans would prefer what Georgia and Florida have accomplished the past 5 years compared to Texas and Oklahoma.

I think LSU and Oklahoma compare favorably.....

Oklahoma
Baseball- 2026
Sotfball- 2021,2022,2023,2024
Women's gymnastics- 2022,2023,2025

LSU
Baseball- 2023,2025
Women's basketball- 2023
Women's gymnastics- 2024
Men's outdoor track- 2021
