He cried about playing time, created some drama, and Cal told him to go find playing time somewhere else.

Dude definitely had some issues with being in the spotlight at Kentucky, struggled on the court, and at one point had to “step away” during the season before transferring. He was at Xavier and I think dealt with a lot of injuries before ending up at High Point.

I got the impression it was a lot like Daniel Orton’s situation in which people were in his ear about how much he should be playing (Orton’s people thought he should be playing over DeMarcus Cousins ).

I was in Memphis during Cal's run to the final in '08. This team kinda reminds me of that Memphis team, and Acuff reminds me of Rose. The Hogs don't have a Joey Dorsey type, but Trevon can be a force in the paint. Tons of athleticism.

Cal said in the post game presser Cam tried to apologize to him at some AAU event after the fact and that it was all good.

Thought that was cool.

I always suspect a lot of those kind of issues are the people these guys have around them. Glad to hear he made amends.

As for today’s game, Cyclones are good. Don’t really have an expectation for a win even if Jefferson doesn’t play, but would love to see Otega Oweh play another day in Blue and White.

A lucky heave by Oweh, refs not giving SC a timeout, now playing Iowa state without their best player. Basketball gods even feel sorry for Kentucky and Pope.

No idea what to expect. Will just say go out there and play like it's the last game.

The game hasn't even started and yet here's a University of Calipari fan already chirping.

Once again, it's not our fault you guys hired a coach you hated. Understandable a lot of reconciliation and turd eating going on down there, but....

Not.
Our.
Fault.

Amazing you can't just sit back and enjoy your own success.

Good sign Chandler hitting his first 3, he's been cold lately.

Kentucky’s offense looks like shite as usual but still think they win this game. Too many dudes.

We stare at the shot instead of blocking out every time.

A little too aggressive, BG. But I like it.

Garrison needs to play like Friday: let the game come to him.

He's forcing everything right now.

They’re being forced to play iso because of Jefferson being out. He’s usually the guy to clean up and kick it out is my understanding.

Good start. Don't let up. Need to play better defense.
