Out in Putnam County the tornado hit at 2am. A lot of people were asleep. City of Cookeville had their sirens blaring, but out in the county you don't get them. The small town of Baxter got hit the worst in this storm. The tornado stayed on the ground for a long while and there were multiple casualties. There are still up to 60 people missing that have not been accounted for including small kids. Some will be found in the rubble. My understanding is that I-40 is still closed.

The upside is the community is really responding. Multiple posts on Facebook of people offering their services for free to help. There are over 100 people outside my window in line to donate blood.

Sitting in the Bozeman airport our to head back.

Crazy scenes. Very populated areas with lots of bars and restaurants leveled in Germantown and 5 points/Lockeland Springs.

Buddy lives 2 blocks from mcferrin and main where a girl and her boyfriend died trying to take cover in their car.

Thank god it was Monday. Almost any other night at 12:45, there would have been a shitload of people still out and about.

I have several family members that live in the Nashville area and are OK. One lives in the Donelson area and he said the path was about a mile from where he lives.

No. I'm the CFO of the hospital. I was actually on call last night. At 3am everybody was called in to the hospital. Disasters are all hands on deck. COO was running the Command Center so I did whatever I had to including moving stretchers from the Cancer Center to the ER and delivering sausage biscuits to ER employees.

Little things really do mean a lot in these circumstances.

I live in near Riverside Drive in East Nashville but my neighborhood was spared. Good thing b/c I was dead asleep when this struck. Cosign on Five Points being damaged, also Fatherland St. which I go through every day.

Everybody in Administration takes admin call for the hospital. We rotate it. Every hospital in the country does this. CEO, COO, CFO, and CNO.

Do you know how hospitals/nursing homes operate?

When he said "all hands on deck" that means ALL hands are available in an emergency situation regardless of the job title.

Is there some good reason you’re being a dick about this? Otherwise, move along.

No idea on the size, but Sheriff’s Deputy said this one was bad. Nashville news might be your best source.

I would expect everyone in top management and everyone on call to be working during an all out emergency like that. Good man.

Please pass along thanks to you and all your coworkers at the hospital. Slept through it all in Hendersonville but woke up to a ton of texts and notifications. Have a few coworkers who were greatly affected closer to where the tornadoes touched down. Didn't realize how bad it was until I started reading the news and talking to others.
