Paul Bryant (1958-1982) 232-46-9 0.824
Wallace Wade (1923-1930) 61-13-3 0.812
Frank Thomas (1931-1946) 115-24-7 0.812
Gene Stallings (1990-1996) 62-25 0.712
Nick Saban (2007-Present) 63-13 0.829
This does include forfeitures and vacations, so both Saban and Stallings have better on the field records.

Seeing Bama's #s is just freakish.

Those 5 UA coaches have accounted for 61 years, anywhere between 10-15 national championships, and 2 retired due to declining health (Bryant and Thomas).

No wonder he was so good..he traveled to the future to find out what mistakes were made in past games then played his way backwards to present time.

I never realized how similar Saban's record was to Wade's. Two of the GOAT

Not trying to flame, but isn't Mullen y'alls only head coach outside of Darrell Royal with a winning record?

Here are our 5 coaches with the most wins:
Steve Spurrier (1990-2001): 122-27-1 [81.7%]
Ray Graves (1960-1969): 70-31-4 [68.6%]
Urban Meyer (2005-2010): 65-15 [81.2%]
Doug Dickey (1970-1978): 58-43-2 [57.3%]
Bob Woodruff (1950-1959): 53-42-6 [55.4%]
Although I doubt most would consider Dickey or Woodruff amongst the best, they just had longevity. Gallen Hall at 40-18-2 is certainly up there.

Xen Scott really put our program on the map- it's a shame he doesn't get enough credit for laying the foundation for Wade. Red Drew, I don't have as much respect for. The Houston Nutt of his day, and really left the program in bad shape. It didn't help that Whitworth was the worst coach of all time to take over his already declining program.
