So, you've probably heard that Aranda wants to be a coordinator in the NFL. I think that Aranda sees staying LSU as a better means to that end.

LSU is already known as DBU and puts a lot of players into the NFL. Aranda can stay and coach NFL caliber players (e.g. Tredavious white last year, Arden Key, Devin White etc.) while there is less a chance of that at other schools like A&M.

This doesn't foreclose coaching at schools that produce elite defensive players, but he already has a pretty good set up at LSU, for now.

I'd say it's likely that his next stop will be NFL and not a college position.

So what are the chances he is still at LSU in 2 years?

I mean, I wasn't trolling. I keep hearing that he wants to go to the NFL, and I'm not sure his stock can get much higher than it is now.

I didn't research a whole lot but did see some info that only a few DCs in the NFL make over a million and no one makes what Aranda will make.

Maybe he wants the challenge but a move as a DC looks unlikely at this point. Maybe as a HC one day.

He might not feel like he's ready. Look at Venables from Clemson

Everyone knows only LSU defensive players make it to the NFL.

But at A&M he could coach all those future XFL guys.

He’ll have to take a pay cut to be an nfl DC. I think this positions him to be the next HC at LSU.

Nothing was made official. Just guesses and theories like everything else on this forum.

If it was all about money he could have got more at A&M at least according to this board.
