there are some amazing conspiracy theories here, I think the playoff committee will simply pick the four best teams that they think are there at the end of the season. they don't get an income from the networks and could care less about TV ratings.

It depends on what everyone else does
If you had undefeated LSU, undefeated Clemson, a one loss PAC or Big 12 team, and a one loss Big 10 champ then IMO tOSU should not make the fourth playoff spot

My take is that they expect two in. When UGA loses in the SECCG Bama will jump them to take the #4 spot...
