We have just as good a shot as anyone. Plus Ive heard hes going to playin the SEC.

With DGB, his past is well known which is why most believe he stays closer to home, like Mizz, OU, or Arky. Of course though, Bama leads for everyone so you never know.

I believe if Mizzou has 10 or more wins he ends up Columbia.

Chris Black will be announcing on Aug 24th.

quote:

"It's going to be August 24th," said Black.

The announcement will come on a Wednesday, two days before the first game of the season.

"I thought getting it done that day will be the best for me. We get back in school on Monday, everyone will be there, it will be exciting. It's also before our big game against Bolles high school. I wanted to get it out of the way before we play them."

Black's announcement will have a special twist to it that only a select group of prospects have the chance to do.

"I'm doing it live on ESPN," he said. "That's always been a dream of mine, especially since I won't get to do it on signing day because I'm an early enrollee."

A day or two before his announcement, Black plans on informing each of three schools of his decision. He says this will be the hardest part of his recruitment.

"I've been recruited by these schools since the end of my freshman year. Telling those coaches that I'm not coming will be tough. The beginning of the recruiting process is a lot of fun, as it gets to the end it gets tougher."

Over the next six weeks Black will mull his options, think about his relationships and come to a final decision. Or has he already decided?

"I pretty much know where I'm going. But there are a couple things I'm thinking about. I want to go to a place that I feel comfortable, where I can trust the coaches and a school that is going to make me successful after football."

Heard he was throwing to DGB for over an hour. Got to believe Missouri is in front.

I have no sources, but my gut feel on DGB is OU.

hopefully having 4 WR's on the Bilitnakov (sp? DGAF)watch list impresses the mighty DGB

We have three on there, and we lost our best WR in school history.

Yeah, and at Bama you can be on it without playing a down for us.

Maybe Alabama having a guy on the list that just enrolled will do even more.

and that Chris Black is privately committed.

Well, he's privately committed to either Alabama or Florida State now. He'll announce his choice August 24th on ESPN. He actually has a visit to Alabama planned for August 20th.

Arkansas losing Adams, Childs and Wright after this year, and OU losing Broyles = DGB either Hog or Sooner

Everyone knows he isn't going to go that far from home.

If you say you have sources on DGB you're lying out of your arse unless it's either DGB or coach Beckham.

I'll buy the Black stuff, but UA doesn't "lead" for Gunner and DGB. Not until they say it publicly in an interview.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one my friend. Respectfully, of course, but disagree nonetheless.
