Tier 1.
LSU
Alabama
Florida
Tier 2:
Georgia
Auburn
Tennessee
Tier 3:
Arkansas
South Carolina
The rest will likely always be bottom dwellers.
If Georgia had another (recent) crystal football, I'd put it in Tier 1 just because of recruiting.

W d e's list is the best one I've seen so far. Only I would have ole miss as a better job than state.

OM and State are virtually even at this point. As are UF and LSU. You could switch both of those and I wouldn't argue much.

Whats the criteria?
Three different rankings published this year(2011)
SI.Com
1.Texas
2.Ohio ST.
3.Oklahoma
4.Florida
5.Georgia
6.LSU
7.Bama
8.Penn St.
9.Auburn
10.Oregon
Yahoo sports
1.Florida
2.Texas
3.USC
4.Bama
5.Notre Dame
6.Ohio St.
7.Nebraska
8.Oklahoma
9.Miami
10.Michigan
(5 honarable metions= Tennessee, UGA, UCLA,FSU and Wisconsin)
Athlons
1.Texas
2.Florida
3.USC
4.Bama
5.Ohio St.
6.Oklahoma
7.FSU
8.UGA
10.LSU
You can argue all you want but everyone has a different opinion (see above) depending on criteria used. The top 20 on about everyones list are the same...just juggled around.
One thing for sure, is that NOBODY has Arkansas as a top coaching job in America. Auburn is probablly a top 10-15 job in America.
Florida, Bama, LSU and UGA are about the same. All Top 10 jobs in the country based on facilities, revenue, tradition, recruiting ability, etc..

Do you realize how stupid your argument sounds?
UGA went 6-7 last season, and WE STILL had a top 5 recruiting class. We consistently pull in top 10 classes despite underachieving. Even without a crystal ball, UGA recruits on the same level as LSU and Bama.

I like your list. But as a coach, it's hard to pass up in the talent monopoly in Louisiana vs competing with a very respectable auburn.
