It's a hell of a lot closer to Texas

So the main point of your location argument is that it's close to somewhere else?

yeah, one that we've beaten 10 times in 11 years and that we don't compete with for recruits. Tech might not even have 15% of the state's loyalty.

Good point but who actually wants to live in Tuscaloosa when you could live an hour from new orleans

I still say and believe there are more Auburn fans in Georgia than Tech fans.

If I'm a head coach and Arkansas and Georgia both offer identical contracts, I would go to Georgia. If for nothing other than it has been easier to win the East than the West the past few years. And yes, this is a consideration.

With that kind fo thinking you should have A&M over arkansas on your list.

Yeah, now that they have joined the SEC it could move them way up. We shall see.

No, it's what pushed Arkansas over Georgia for me. It's not my main point. Learn to read.

I was just telling my roommate last Sat. that every time I watch UGA@GT I never see a stadium so filled by a rivals opponent than at that one. You'd think they were playing in a neutral site.

All the Auburn fans I personally know are actually from Georgia. Well it's only 2 on the personal level.

But they're from Georgia.

The other teams are just recruiting much better

Tennessee's recent problem has been far more about failure to develop talent than attract it. Tennessee has been in the top 10-15 in almost every year since Rivals began, yet we have had our worst 10 year stretch in school history.

You're an idiot. Georgia is a top 10 job in America and always will be, yet we're only 6th in the SEC?

I'd love to hear you explain why LSU, Auburn, or frickin' arkansas are clear cut jobs over Georgia. Alabama has the name so they'll always be up there. Florida has all the resources. LSU and Georgia I see as comparable. Auburn and Arkansas are not better jobs than Georgia.

LSU is a better job than UGA for one primary reason: recruiting. LSU has Louisiana all to their lonesome whereas UGA has to fend off Auburn, Bama, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee with regard to blue chip Georgia recruits.

Auburn and Arkansas? You're right... not better jobs than UGA. UGA isn't leaps and bounds ahead of either, but ahead nonetheless.

Agree with op. Sorry uga fans, but yall have to much competition for recruits in the state, auburn is coming off a national title, arkansas is rising and owns their state.

Arkansas is behind UGA bc they play in the west and have to play Auburn, LSU and Alabama every year.

I think the top four of LSU, Alabama, UF, and UGA are interchangeable.
