Those aren't excuses those are observations. Excuse would be that we got cheated by the refs or some bullshite...I stated we couldn't turn the ball over and we did. Forced fumbles can be prevented if you concentrate on not ever losing your grip on the ball. It was a good job by LSU to keep trying to take the ball though it's what good defenses do.

LSU has stripped virtually every team this year. It's nothing Arky didn't do, it is what LSU does. It is an excuse because you are trying to defend the loss or at least lessen the credit LSU deserves.

This is why we should have run more...our Dline was worn out at the end of the game and it showed we run more and they aren't as worn out. You guys were very inconsistent on offense till our defense was on the field for whole quarters at a time. We abandoned the run and with that we basically abandoned our defense.

I think that is a valid point. There could be something to be said for the implications of the game. It could be that, for Petrino, the idea or fear of losing to an LSU team that he had beaten on average was so great that he panicked and tried to score as much as possible as fast as possible, instead of sticking to a more balanced, focused game plan.

My analysis: A more talented LSU team out-played & out-coached your Arkansas team.

It's my main concern about petrino. He does this in lots of big games...last year he didn't run knile davis against bama much but knile was getting 6 yards a carry on his 3 or 4 touches. Petrino likes to abandon the run when he gets down by just a little and he likes to get way to conservative way to early sometimes.

That is the root cause of all of it. Every mistake made was due to this. Every scheme problem is due to this.

How do you fix the problems? Improve those three areas, that is the findings of the root cause analysis.

players- our defensive talent isn't as good i agree whole heartedly.

Team- isn't this just the players again?

Coach- I think our coaching level is fine. two 10 win seasons in a row says our coach is capable however he was outcoached yesterday.

No, a team of less talented players CAN play better than their abilities. Usually it comes down to coaches being able to get more from players.

Coaches- you admit that he has a major flaw, abandoning what is working (ie running the ball). Your defense leaves a lot to be desired, but honestly 10 win seasons with only 1 victory over a top ten team is not worth bragging about. Especially when you have had 6 chances.

LSU was the better team. Petrino killed any chance they had when he abandoned the I formation run it was working with Green and a fullback running straight ahead.

Keep this up enough and the safety can't sit back 20 yards deep anymore and it opens up the downfield game.

Not to mention it keeps the Hog D off the field so much.

But when I saw Johnson at RB I knew Petrino just had to do it his way and not take what the D was giving..6 in the box you run it.

Well, as usual, they lost, we didn't win. Tigers made you quit.
