LMFAO. This tells me all I need to know. The guys that like Chaggy are happy with this hire. I bet all LSU fans are happy with the state of Arkansas athletics

Very good hire IMO and I'm also a Chad Morris fan. If I was a pig fan, I would be happy right now.
I'm very pleased currently.

Any rumors on the contract?
2.5 over 5. Amazing deal for what we got, honestly.

I'm assuming you mean 2.5 per year for 5 years?

That's a very reasonable deal.

Basically got him for what they were paying Anderson. Bigger plus is Marshall wasn't able to use us to get another raise.

Yes, incentives and a chance to add two more years as well

Same as we were paying Anderson

My only problem is he is no better than Anderson. If you're gonna change coaches you usually try to upgrade based on what he's done so far he's just another Stan Heath/John Pelphry that had a good run in the tournament one year. Changing coaches just for the sake of change isn't an improvement. This may have been a good hire for an LSU or Alabama we needed something bigger. I hope I'm wrong about him but doubt it.

Great hire. He reminds me of Bruce Pearl in the way he conducts himself (very outgoing) and the way his teams play basketball, although Musselmans teams tend to be a bit better on the defensive end.

Anderson never had a 76% winning percentage. Musselman>>>>>>>>Anderson

Umm no. He coached in the NBA for 20 years then went and coached Nevada to 3 straight NCAA tournament. Musselman would be insulted to know you compared to Stan Heath.

My God. What a horrible take...

He was the one guy we could have bargained with. He was only getting 1 mil at Nevada.

Amazing how many people don't know this but want to give a take on the hire.

It might not work out but this is a lazy comparison. Stan Heath had a one year sample size. He was literally a head coach one year at any level before we hired him. There is way more to judge when it comes to Musselman.

So what "he coached in the NBA" This ain't the NBA the game is totally different. Was he successful in the NBA?....crickets I get everyone wants to get behind the new coach and I will still buy my tickets (yes I actually attend games unlike 90% that have an opinion)
