It seems like Mullen has gone to Florida and tried be the goofy but cool coach who is on top of all the trends. This just screams recipe for disaster to me at Florida. With how his qb was acting last night a long with the attitudes of a lot of the other players, this seems like a team that could completely unravel after 1 or 2 losses.

That may have been one of the most cringeworthy football games I have ever witnessed in my life, and that’s after 7 months of no competitive football.

Agree. His guys are undisciplined and they act like classless thugs. The team seems to also take on the personality of their coach and quarterback.

I was just impressed with how poor they were at tackling.

It could be one of those cases where a very good team looked very bad in their first game. We've all seen that before and we will see it again.

That having been said, there is some real cause for concern.

There is an expression in boxing "help your opponent out of there". Basically when the gent you are fighting is out on his feet and ready to go you need to finish him off. Miami was more then ready to go but the Florida DBs made mistake after mistake, not just blown coverage but fouls that were incredibly poor decisions.

Miami's defense was not very heralded coming into the game but they managed to make Florida very one dimensional and I don't think anyone feels comfortable in Franks ability to beat a lot of folks through the air.

Miami is not that good (trust me, I know what a team that isn't very good looks like) and is at the beginning of what looks to be major rebuild. If they had been one year further along in that rebuild they knock Florida off last night. That is a cause for concern.

Mullen is a goofus every time he speaks. His actions show he has no control over that team. Their off season was well noted. That pic of Spurrier said it all. Very embarrassing

Idk what spurrier was rolling his eyes at. That was a classic spurrier play call w 4 minutes left in a game. And his teams were three times as thuggish and trash talking and undisciplined. He just recruited better talent for a while. Not sure if he ever won in Starkville.

Punting the ball into the stands after playing terribly and having to be bailed out by the defense twice in the last 4 minutes was as cringeworthy as it gets.

Wish they’d have shown Spurrier’s reaction to that.

I don't think so. They are definitely behind Clemson and Syracuse. I can see Virginia and someone else (Georgia Tech or Boston College) beating them again.

Miami has really good players peppered in there (Quarterman, Pinckney, Jordan, Dallas), but they aren't that good as a whole. Also, we saw last night that there is only so much Williams can do right now as a passer. Florida's defense really got after him and nullified any passing threat in the 4th quarter. Either Florida has a tremendous defensive line and pass rush or Miami's offensive line is that bad. Probably a little bit of both.
