How many think this would be a great hire?

is this actually a thing

Nothing involving the Jets is great.

That would be the worst thing possible for Georgia.

Mullen has agreed to an interview. I’d say yes! SEC is the elite conference with the most exciting offenses. The NFL wants some of that.

That info has been widely disputed, FWIW.

TD still has it posted that Mullen is interviewing. And TD is all knowing, they knew enough not to post Freeman to LSU was imminent. So there’s that.

I like it, winless jets

I am surprised Dan would even take an interview at this time. Steve did that about every year yet he was still able to recruit good players. I am not sure Dan will be able to do the same.

Mullen is going to just use this to get a raise and contract extension from Florida.
Him and his agent did this for at decade at Mississippi state.

Mullen has made more missteps in the last month or so than I can count.
If he wants to go to the NFL, go! All he's really accomplishing is self sabotage. The Jets job is a dead end. And if he's just testing the Nfl waters. He's hurting his own standing at UF. Recruiting will be more difficult and some of the fanbase is already growing tired of his bullshite.

No he’s not. Unless UF fires him or refuses to give him a raise or extension, then no damage has been done.

Mullen likely isn’t the one spearheading the recruiting at Florida.

Who cares? Mullen does not care about the fanbase or what they think.

Yes, if UF did the smart thing and paid Kiffin whatever it took to land him.

So, the fact that your head coach is flirting with the Nfl every offseason doesn't hurt recruiting?
You don't think other programs are not going to use that against Mullen, in recruiting?

Not gonna happen, right now.

Mullen can be stealthy.
Meyer was told Mullen got the Miss St HC job during a presser. Meyer laughed at the reporters. Had no clue.

Mullen has been doing that for like 5+ years at this point. It’s probably not great for recruiting, but there is plenty to counter-recruit when it comes to Mullen.
I think any damage Mullen does to recruiting at Florida has already been done.
