So MSU was too cheap to pony up to keep their best coach in forever?

Did Dan already have Gators colors for his kids ready..

I doubt the Mullens had much trouble finding an orange bow for their daughter and t-shirt for their son.

Little Rocky and Ruby Sue don't look too thrilled.

They probably gifted each other orange and blue gear every year for a while now.

I'm sure their kids are pretty tired. I'm sure they also have friends in Starkville. I know i was sad when my family move from Louisiana to Tennessee when I was a kid. I got over it pretty quickly.

For what? Yall trained him for us, we trained him for yall in return.

I'm grateful for the 9 years and glad both parties can move on in a good spot. We just need to make a good hire, and it's all good. Mullen/MSU had run its course.

Hopefully we can build on what he started, he can get yall back up to snuff, and we'll see each other in Atlanta one day.

Get back to us when Sexton asks UF for a raise after losing to an outmatched FSU team. Shite gets old after a while.

Did Mullen at least do us the kindness of bringing Billy Gonzales with him?

When mom and dad are praying that fumes will get them the last few miles it is nerve racking for the kids too.

Not dumb enough to pay that much for a coach that finished 4th or 5th in the west 8 out of 9 years

He already made $4.5 which was market value, maybe a little better. If I'm Cohen Id have told him we'll get you to $6 and here's how, $500k for winning the egg bowl plus 10% of what our bowl game pays every year. Fact is it would have taken $6 this year and it would be $7 the next. It was time for both parties to move on.

I'm mostly pissed at the optics of the situation. I feel like we've resigned ourselves to being a program that other teams play on their way to a championship. As for Dan himself, you'll get to feel the same way about him when he shits the bed against Charleston Southern next year. I hope it was worth it to Stricklin when they're both looking for jobs in 2021.
