“My son is a Big Papi fan,” he said.

This year was a little different with two more noteworthy visits. He visited in June and was inducted into the Trinity High School Hall of Fame before giving the graduation address.

Before that, despite never having run a road race of any distance, he ran the Boston Marathon in April.

These people are completely drunk if they think Dan is leaving MSU anytime soon. It's incredible how jealous people can get over college football.

Dan is also completely drunk if he thinks the Patriots are calling anytime soon.

He was the driving factor in scheduling UMASS. He was thrilled at the opportunity to play in Foxboro. Belichick has also met with him to pick his brain on spread formations a few years ago. I fully expect him to jump to the Patriots when Brady retires because shortly thereafter Belichick will retire and it will be a perfect fit.

He's apparently a terrible interview and super abrasive.

He wanted the Miami gig and they didn't want him.

If he wins 10 games this year he'll get a big boy job. Despite what you might think, MSU is not close to a big boy job.

He will also have won a couple of championships on the collegiate level by then.

What is Dan's SEC record?

Didn't he lose to South Alabama last year?

Dan Mullen is one of the very few SEC SEC coaches that actually has job security. He is at a place where the fans like him, he's paid well and has a patient fan base....Something that generally doesn't exist in the SEC SEC with a few exceptions.

He can coach here another 10-15 years if he wants to and have a good life developing kids.

LSU hired Ed Orgeron. What kind of job does that make LSU?

Until you make 1 sensible post that is pertinent and factual, no one is paying attention to your drivel. See Example: all the bs you spouted off about last week

You ended up with Ed Orgeron because nobody else wanted the job. LSU must not be as attractive of a job as you think.

Heard the same thing about Jimbo and Herman.

Until LSU has a competent AD you will continue to underachieve on HC hires.

Mississippi fricking state just romped LSU's arse for four quarters. And we did a few years ago as well. You just better strap it on over there pup. Might get shitty for you guys for a while.

It was an embarrassing and lazy hire. It's still a top 10 job.

LSU will bounce back. This is as good as it gets for state though. Once again, congrats on the win.
