A stat that's even more depressing is that their winningest coach, Jackie Sherrill, has a record of 75-75

Not the best coach they've ever had tho, Royal stepped up to Texas after being in Starksville for a few seasons.

Nah. You never try to bring him up or Gus in threads that have nothing to do with them. If Arkansas fans would quit bringing themselves up no one would notice or care about them until they lose or play their team.

Mullen would be 5th all time in wins as a Penn State Head coach with 29.

Just sayin.

That's because one guy coached there for 60 years.

Goes to show what an absolute shite program resides in Starkville

4th place at Ole Miss sits at 38 wins. 3rd is david cutcliffe with 44. the stat isn't as crazy as some are making it out to be. fact is, neither ole miss nor state have done anything noteworthy since the integration of college football

With 29 wins Mullen would rank at the following..

5th at Penn State
5th at Oregon
6th at Ole Miss
6th at Va Tech
6th at Ohio State
7th at Nebraska
7th at LSU
7th at Tennessee
7th at Florida
7th at Texas A&M

BTW...at LSU he would be 8th behind DiNardo
at Ole Miss he would be 6th behind Walker

Ummm...false. 39 wins would put him at 8th at UGA.

ETA: Damn I thought it was 39. 29 wins would put him 9th. And that was just a quick skim, he might even be further down.

Once Hudspeth is hired will he be able to do what Merlins can't and win at least 37 games in 5 seasons?

Ole Miss is as follows:

Vaught - 190
Brewer - 68
Cutcliffe - 44
Mehre - 39
Waller - 38

So 5th place at Ole Miss sits at 38 wins.

At Arkansas:

Frank Broyles 19 years 144 wins
Houston Nutt 10 years 75 wins
Lou Holtz 7 years 60 wins
Fred Thompson 13 years 56 wins
Ken Hatfield 6 years 55 wins
Francis Schmidt 7 years 41 wins
Bobby Petrino 4 years 34 wins
Hugo Bezdek 5 years 29 wins

So he'd be 8th at Arkansas.

He will rank high for any school how has had coaches for a decade or longer.
