There's been some talk that it has to do with his Dad's ties to an Adidas AAU team. Not sure anything comes of that though and like anything it's just talk.
He'd be better served going to UNLV before UCLA. He'd still be a stud at UNLV and they're on the brink with the talent they have coming in.
ETA: And speaking of the Adidas stuff, I had to laugh....
