The contract is not hypothetical. Brian Kelly doing something to violate its terms is the hypothetical.
Again, the original question was: why are people arguing that LSU should “just pay the man”? Sure, LSU agreed to pay BK a huge amount to coach football, but if he hypothetically violated terms of that contract, why shouldn’t LSU use those terms to minimize what they pay him? I think we’re all on the same page that there’s no option to just arbitrarily refuse payment.

So how would that work...he wasn't fired for cause. Can LSU now go back and try to find stuff? The Auburn shenanigans took place before they fired the guy. I'm genuinely curious how that works

Despite what tigerdroppings tells you, the morality clause in his contract was pretty standard language and allegedly boinking the realtor wouldn’t come anywhere near violating it.

Pulling a play from the Auburn playbook I see.
Fire a coach. Then go scorched Earth on his and his family trying to invent a scandal.

Are you being serious or just trolling?
Why should I give a shite what multi millionaires do with their money?
You sound a little upset that LSU had folks step up to cover it.

Can you link me to a credible source that states LSU is trying to invent a scandal?

If he sucks at coaching, would this firing be “for cause”?

Moral turpitude can paint a broad brush so maybe something like fricking the realtor in a university-owned vehicle could qualify.

No and no one serious is talking about doing that. The termination was not for cause.

Mere accusations never violate any clause and even if true, in 2025 personal relationships between consenting adults, whether extramarital or not won’t reach that bar either without some other factor like happened with Petrino hiring his volleyball player side piece. Again, that’s just fan driven wishful thinking.

Good luck with that...and actually getting any coach worth a darned to join this circus. This is more petty than one of those "Real Housewives" shows.
As for the rest of of the conference, we aren't laughing with you...we are laughing at you for sure.
