Damn, that's a brilliant statement.

I didn't say that it was. I said debt does not preclude wealth. Preclude is not that big of a word. Google it.

What about the person who spends $450M and finances $353M of it with secured debt he's on the hook for (with interest) no matter what?

All major projects like this involve bonds, it is just smart financing. The key is if there is demand for the bonds. A&M already has the seat licenses sold and the full commitment for paying off the loans. How is that Okie renovation thing going again? Since you guys are so rich I'm sure you have sold all your bonds, right?

MmmHmmm......get your financial butt-plugs ready. You, the fAggie fan, are about to get gouged for all things fAggie over the next several years to repay the massive debt your school incurred, and the university has no choice but to pass that debt on to you. It's in the contract. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Of course there's demand for the bonds. They're secured which means there's guaranteed long-term return on investment because you're required by law to re-pay them. That doesn't mean they're interested in fAggie football. It means they're interested in the bonds. That's why people buy low-yield bonds. Keep being adorable financial guru fAggies. You lost this argument 6 pages ago......badly.

No kidding. Considering they haven't even admitted they paid around 70% of their "half-expansion" in similar bonds, as linked pages ago, indicates they're complete and utter okies or just trolling.

Either way, y'all are wasting your time with Lloyd and Harry here.

I cannot begin to describe to you how far off the mark you are with respect to bond law. Your understanding of the subject matter is clearly from a non-legal perspective and while I don't want to spoil your fun, plainly ignorant.

Fact is OU is more relevant than aTm hence the BCS beatdown of Alabama less than two years ago. ATM hasn't won anything. END of story. They have never won anything...not recently not ever..That fake championship they have in 39 doesn't count either.

Projected principal on the bonds per the contract over 30 years:
$352,825,000

Projected interest on the bonds per the contract over 30 years:
$309,815,735

Projected net cost for the financed portion alone is more than the entire renovation cost itself:
$662,640,735

Wow!

So the only thing you have to hold your head high about is your win over Bama?

You guys can't compete. No one even knows you exist outside of Tulsa
