What is wrong with a dance team?

A&M has never elected a girl, let alone a black girl as homecoming queen.

FIFY. You had that statement a little backward.

Pretty much. Now Miss St can say "We ain't racist!"

First black football player at MSU, Frank Dowsing, was also the 'first' black football player at Tupelo HS and was the first black to be named Mr. Mississippi State.

That was 44 years ago.

We had an african american Queen last year... we also had an italian exchange student on the court as well. Nothing new. 10-15 years ago it was a little more unusual. Victoria Vivens is awesome though. She is attractive, intelligent, active on campus, and great ball player. Happy for her and she is a good spokesperson for the university. I'm not sure what her life/career plans are, but she is incredibly well spoken and would make a fantastic sports analyst.

no it is not. I sound like a country a** mofo. I wouldn't do well on national tv nor would a bostonian with a thick accent. She would. It a prereq for the job.
