Never said wide open. I am saying open. I am saying that our WRs and our QB only need a small openning to be successful.

You do play the run very well.

I thought the UT vs Alabama game would be a measure of how good Alabama's defense was. We actually played UT's passing offense better than the stellar Miss State passing defense. The only difference is that we didn't get throated for over 200 yards on the ground like Miss State.

Yeah, on most plays against ANY D SOMEONE is "open". The only time someone was truly open against us that would've hurt was when Belue was half a step behind Hunter, which is understandable on the road as a first year starter against an elite WR.

Am I saying that you have busted coverages, no. But we don't have to have those in order to produce. Just a small opening.

You won't be able to run on us, therefore we will pin our ears back and pressure TR. Did we sack Bray? No, but we pressured him, and his OL has only given up 3 sacks all year.

Hilarious! When did Arky become a top 10 scoring defense?

Let's analyze that for a sec. Mississippi State allows 14.43 points per game. Against FBS opponents, they allow 15.33 points per game.

Jackson State scored 15.5 points below their average

Auburn scored 5.71 points below their average

Troy scored 4 points below their average

South Alabama scored 9 points below their average

Kentucky scored 5.25 points below their average

Tennessee scored 3.43 points below their average

Middle Tennessee scored 26 points below their average

You faced the number 118, 63, 109, 109, 37, and 58 scoring offenses and held them to an average of 8.89 points below their scoring averages.

Using that standard, Alabama will ONLY score 32, A&M will ONLY score 34, and LSU will ONLY score 22.

Alabama, on the other hand:

Held Michigan to 16.71 below their average

Shut out WKU (31.71 below their average)

Shut out Arkansas (27 below their average)

Held FAU to 9.17 below their average

Held Ole Miss to 18.71 below their average

Held Missouri to 10.14 below their average

Held Tennessee to 21.43 below their average

They didn't even play an FCS opponent.

Alabama holds opponents to almost 20 points below their scoring average. That means, at most, you'll score 17.

My mind was on the same thing. Will they be able to pass on you at all with the 2 WRs they have.

Yeah, that's totally not true!

You allowed 203 yards in Passing, and Hunter had 4 catches.

MSU allowed only 148 yards in passing and Hunter only had 2 catches!

I saw what I needed to. they have 2 go to guys. That's it. MSU has way more than that.

You allowed 31 points, at home.

Alabama allowed 13 points, in Knoxville.

End of argument.

Are you the dumb frick who said you would take Bumphis and Co. over Hunter, Patterson, and David-Ricky back before the season started?

MSU hasnt had a reciever as good as Hunter or Patterson in a long time. Plus, do you really think Tyler Russell is an elite QB? Do you think he has the arm strength and accuracy to beat Bama?

Which is my point. MSU has more talent at WR across the board tham UT. We throw to our backs and our TEs. We are a mismatch for your defense.

Does that mean we execute? That's why they play the game for 60 minutes.

1- We will run if we force you to defend the pass. Yes sir. Keep fooling yourself into thinking we only have 2 WRs or goto guys. There is NOWAY you can load the box on us. NONE!

2- You cant put pressure on a QB that is getting rid of the ball fast.

3- UT only allowed 3 sacks and MSU has only allowed 6. How many have you allowed?

LOL! You are being stupid for looking at the stats like that. MSU has not played their total offense in every game NOR defense!

Stop showing your ignorance. If you want to know... ACTUALLY watch the games and compare the offenses! Just dumb to try that crap!

Right, just like UT could run on us if we defended their pass.

Oh wait.

He can get rid of it as fast as he wants, he'll just get his passes swatted or picked off if he tries to pick on Milliner. Throw to your TE/RB? Mosley says hi. Go deep? Lester/HaHa. Belue is the weak link and even then he's still one of the better CBs in the country based on how he's played so far.

I hope MSU can grind Bama and put some hurt on them, but my brain tells me it'll just be another easy Bama win.

No, Not me. Not sure who would say that they are not good.

Am I saying that across the board we have the best WR corp in the SEC west??? YEP! I am.

Not sure of your point. MSU is a very balanced team. They catch what is thrown to them and make the plays. I don't think I could ask for more out of about 9 guys.

You really have not seen us play alot have you?? I mean seriously. 15 TDs with 1 int.

I know he does.

No worries Bama can handle this guy!

Hardly the point being made.

However, NO. Bama has not been tested enough to pull out it's play book. I think until somebody can stop the run, they will run. Why would you not?

who the frick has MSU played that plays any defense?

Auburn is ranked 47th in the country in passing defense and that is the best of any team MSU has played.

Bama is ranked 2nd in passing defense. MSU is ranked 21st in passing defense, 17 spots below the Michigan team that got steamrolled by Bama.

You didn't have to defend a passing attack like MSU.

Sorry, that is just a fact. That's not saying Bama can't get it done, but fact is fact. UT does not have the passing game MSU does. And we use it in a balanced way. Look at our play calling. We force you to cover all of our receivers and that allows us to run.

I can see where that has happened all year long.... not

quote:

or picked off if he tries to pick on Milliner.

15 TDs and 1 pick all year!

quote:

Throw to your TE/RB? Mosley says hi.

Mosley can't be everywhere at all times. Can he cover a TE and RB at the same time on a play?

quote:

Go deep? Lester/HaHa.

..... You don't have the depth with experience to cover every man we will put out there. You just don't. The only question is will Russell see it and get the ball out in time. So far, 15 TDs to 1 int.

quote:

Belue is the weak link and even then he's still one of the better CBs in the country based on how he's played so far.

So far, you got Mosley covering 2 guys at 1 time and man to man on 3 other guys. One of them is open, and there is still a 4th WR or TE or RB depending on the play called.

1 open, plus another to defend. Who do you have that can cover?

What do you do when Dak comes in and you still have to defend those same guys plus worry about him running?

Not sure of the point you are trying to make. Michigan is not MSU. They are not EVEN close to what MSU is. They are not even RANKED. They do not have an ALL AMERICAN DB. They do not have 2 DBs that intercept 50+% of the passes thrown at them.. That's EACH, not combined.

If you move to pass efficiency MSU is ranked 12th.. above Michigan.
