Yes typically. Some larger school do hire people to just coach, but they have to "teach" math or history for a period or 2.

Have no idea. I have learned more about the nut today than I ever knew before (or even cared to know).

He would have gotten about 1500 on top of his salary which would have been in the range of 38,000- 45,000 based on exp. if he was a teacher as well which I assume would have been the case.

I would bet the racism had less to do with it than admitting to throwing away recruiting letters from Ole Miss rather than giving them to the players being recruited. For a school that regularly puts out D1 talent, there's no way that can be tolerated.

Or at the very least, not for public consumption.

There's a tenant of common sense that goes something like this: You can't break a contract, and then seek protection under that contract.

Lee has been very public about who he is, where he lives, what he does for a living, and what his opinions are.

He has very specifically slandered players, coaches, fans, and administrators of Ole Miss. He has lied extensively. He has made up preposterous stories out of whole cloth. He has made very personal, very specific charges and accusations, naming names, and attempting to impinge credibility.

Then, when people tell the truth about him, he wants some sort of anonymity, or wants to claim that it's unfair to strike back at him with the truth after all of his lies.

Sorry. Lee made this bed for himself. Now he's got to lie in it. He has plenty of practice.

That's fine. I wouldn't know all of that. I assume you got all of that with your obsession with ED.

obsession

EliteDawgs and C34 have been absorbed into every minuscule brain cell remaining in the average OM fan's brain. Awkward and intriguing at the same time.

He went to JC with the coach. Coach was doing a buddy a favor until he realized the buddy was way to much of a headache. Pulls offer. He didn't apply and become the most qualified. He hasn't coached in like 8 years and was an assistant middle school coach when he did.

A) I was called by him when he heard I was looking because he needed a good coach. We had coached against each other numerous times

B) I have at no time been a middle school assistant coach. I coached HS for 13 years- 2 as a HC, 6 more more as an OC.

C) There was nobody close to me in qualifications and why he focused completely on me once he heard I was available. He was looking for some new offensive concepts to add to his offense

Good day

Just as an FYI for anyone sticking up for Coach based on having his offer pulled based on the internet stuff - he also got fired from a previous coaching job for....ahem...improprieties with a student.

Not at all. Lee and I grew up together. We have a bunch of mutual friends. They are genuinely concerned about him, because he has had such a rough road these past 10 years or so, both personally and professionally.

Lee has brought all of his problems on himself. As an example, he was a fertilizer salesman, until so many of his OM clients found out about him "alter ego" that they decided to take their business elsewhere.

Lee figured that being "infamous" would actually bring him more business. Which is why he went public with his identity. But it backfired and cost him his job.

If we grew up together- you would know enough about me that I would never sell fertilizer or farm products. That was my ex-wife's new husband
