We both had painful losses yesterday.

After this week I don't know if 8.5 is too high or too low.

This may be off your topic, but several of us watched your game, and we were pulling for (whoever's playing FL) KY. Were you not upset at your coach for going for it in the middle of the field on 4th down, with an 11 point lead? That seemed to turn the game around for FL.
And then, the play selection leading up to the failed field goal attempt was so conservative that it seemed to give up on making a first down, or driving for a TD. Placed all the pressure on the kicker. It was makable, of course, but why not be more aggressive and drive for a TD or an easier kick?
I've read several write-ups about the game, and none mentioned these two decisions which we felt determined the game.

The 4th down I was fine with as the defense was playing well. The choice of play and having AJ Rose attempt it was abysmal. He is not a power back.
Our play calling most of the second half was conservative but it's what won us games last year. Unfortunately we do not have the luxury of a senior filled secondary anymore. In my opinion our QBs accuracy kinda went to shite after he tackled the gator on the INT and I don't really blame them for not wanting to put too much on him in his first SEC start. It's the not taking any chances on defense / soft zone that drove me insane.

Once you lost your 3rd to targeting, and I suppose after Franks' injury, maybe it was rookie luck and adrenaline, but Trask kind of had his way with your defenders. Are all 3 of those out first half this week or did any occur in the first half of the Florida game? Prior to yesterday, I felt pretty good about next week. I thought y'all were worse than you appear to be and I think we are not as good as I had hoped we would be. Hell - it might be a 7 overtime game with the 1st one to 10 points wins.

They should all be out for the first half.

I remember Florida had a DB ejected on one of those "technically it's targeting" questionable calls. I can't remember anyone else though.

Maybe that is what they were talking about as a 3rd. I wasn't watching or paying attention anyway, when the Florida player was ejected.

Fully expect you guys to dominate us. We looked soft against K-State. The game was far closer than it should have been because of flukes. We deserved to lose by 21.

Your game was kinda weird. Not to take anything away from K State but they looked flat for most of the first half. Made a nice comeback and came up short.
