Why?? You played one semi tough series , at home, against fullerton early in the season.
Peterson just said it himself. You didn't play anyone on the road. All those cupcakes ya'll played at home in the first couple of months is what hurt you.
Not to mention, the horrible skid you went on during conference play.
Yes you have titles, history and a huge fanbase but apparently didn't do enough to merit a tourney spot this season. It happens.
Ya'll will be 10x's better next season and will be hosting a regional with ease. Anyone can see that based off ya'lls talent.

It's an easy comparison because the teams played eachother. All else being equal, LSU won the series over MSU. Seems like that could have put LSU over MSU. I don't really care. This LSU team wasn't getting out of a sub regional.

As the guy said LSU finished tied for 9th in the SEC and last in the west. You had 6 Sec wins vs Tenn and UK.
The fact you didn't make the SEC tourney seemed to be big in the Selection committees eyes.

Why compare a SEC team against another SEC team? It should be the best 64 teams, period. If St. Johns was the last team in, and LSU the last team out, compare those two teams based on their wins and losses.

The thing is though is that we have not had to rely on playing teams on the road for a long time to get in.
If we were held to that standard last year, we would have probably been left out if we did not do any damage in the SEC Tournament.

I hate we didnt get in really, but we didnt do what we needed to to get in and as far as other teams within the sec getting in congratulations but only Florida Vandy South carolina and arkansas as a sleeper have a chance to even get out of this weekend so fix whats wrong and lets go after it next year!

It's just unfortunate that Kentucky and Tennessee were near the back end of LSU's schedule. Six wins earlier in the season would have helped perception.

Cry me a river- maybe LSU will decide to not finish tied for 5th in the West next year and get to Hoover so it doesn't happen next year
