Which game is best representative your team’s most consistent performance this year? The first time I really caught an entire MSU game was the LSU game....and the A&M game made it pretty clear LSU just took away what he already sucked at doing.
The defense is pretty nasty though, I’ve seen a good bit of it.

We are searching for an identity. Up to this point, the team performed as Nick performed. Against LSU and Kentucky, he didn't perform very well and 2 pretty good teams beat us.
I think Coach Joe is learning that life in the SEC is simply different. He has a different level of player than at Pen State and obviously different opponents. We will do OK this year. Honestly the team has never lived up to the fan's expectations, (except for Dak's Senior year) and that says a lot about how knowledgeable the typical MSU fan is. After Alabama (this weekend), we could easily win the last two games, or maybe one of them. With my Bulldogs, nothing is certain. I predict we will shine at the Memphis or Nashville Bowl. Maybe Gator city bowl and better our all time bowl appearance record.
We will stay with Alabama for the first 10 minutes or so and then they will crush us this weekend along with everyone else they play this year, including whoever is unlucky enough to be selected to go against them in the NC game.
Trying to be honest here.

Offense is mystery week to week but will likely be the best defense the tide faces outside of possibly practice.
If the offense can move the ball enough to take some time off the clock it will be a good game IMHO, if not it could get ugly quick, we just are not built to play catch up.

State is very stingy on defense. They have only given up 9 touchdowns all season, 2 of which were short field situations due to offensive miscues.
They lead the conference in yards given up and points given up. That makes them a good team, despite the offense just not clicking.
Fitzgerald is who he is. He's a good running QB and a terrible throwing QB. We have horrible receivers by SEC standards - not just route running, but blocking. I believe we are underrated at the RB position. Both Hill and Williams are good backs.
The Kentucky and Florida losses were inexcusable for different reasons. In both games, the offense couldn't click. Against Kentucky, we had a ridiculous amount of stupid penalties that kept UK drives going and stalled promising drives from the offense. UK tacked on a couple of late TDs to make that margin seem worse than the game was. We lost 28-7, but were driving to tie with 6:00 to go in the game.
Florida was a game of missed opportunities. We could have been up 20 at halftime if a couple of balls were caught. We ended up losing 13-6. This is the game where our receivers just showed how bad they were at everything.
LSU did what I imagine Alabama is going to do. Just shut us down offensively. LSU won 19-7, but the only TD was a 3 yard drive after an INT.
In short, Tua should be able to connect but I expect State will harass him a little more than he's used to and force hurried throws. If he makes the big play, Bama will roll - but if Bama has to drive, expect State's defense to step up and force some FG attempts in the red zone.
Alabama wins 31-6. State covers the spread.

Our tide fans can't get past LSU beat down. Looking past the Bull Dogs.

Tater Tots were first invented in 1953 at the Ore-Ida Labs.

A&M was our most complete game. D was stout as usual. Run game was strong and Fitz made uncharacteristicly good choices throwing the ball.

Defense good, offense bad, punter sucks.

Moorhead was being a dumbass in the LSU game. That was the big problem. And Fitzgerald looked awful. We will see what Saban comes up with.

I think the AU game is actually the best sample of how we have to play to keep this from getting embarrassing. Moorhead showed some creativity in the run game. Fitz has been throwing better lately, but that won’t work at all in this game. We need to try to replicate what we did last year against Bama. If we throw a bunch of intermediate and long passes, there will be plenty of sacks and a few interceptions. We need to be creative yet conservative on the ground, and let our defense give us a chance.
