Wazzu is a good comparison to State, actually.
Only to simpletons.
Wazzu’s athletes are very different than MSU’s athletes. The conferences they were in are both as different as they can be.

Outside of Dan Mullen, who is clearly an anomaly,
Moorehead went to bowl games and gave Ole Miss trouble.

Everybody has given Ole Piss trouble since integration.

As long as we get to play some motherfuggin football this fall then I'm completely fine with it.
At least we still got football teams for players to transfer to.
Even if it is Landsharks.
Oh and GTHLS's.

I don’t have a problem with State, but they are definitely the little brother.

All the soft players who were used to not being held accountable by Joe Moorhead are leaving now that the coaching staff is actually making them do things like workout.

That's not possible, chief.

The bottomline is the access to Southern talent isn't going to change Leach's history, especially considering he will be facing much stiffer competition. Sure, he'll win some and it will be entertaining, but he isn't going to have some sort of a defensive renaissance after stubbornly doing the same thing (which he is very proud of, mind you) for 20+ seasons.
He will have much better defensive players at State than WSU and TT, however I do agree that it's going to be a struggle schematically to stop run heavy spread offenses.
