One of my favorite games to watch. Don't think I'll ever forget them showing the coaches with like 3 inches of snow on their hats from during the game.

Why is an Independence Bowl being commemorated? Is Texas A&M going to try to commemorate the 1988 "Hurricane Bowl" when Alabama comes to College Station in 2013?

It was a freaking gosh darn blizzard in freakin gosh darn shreveport. Stop thinkin so much.

Actually most fans old enough would say that is a game that was one of the greatest in our history. Snow in Shreveport Texas AM on the schedule. And we won. Was snowing so damn hard couldn't see the players on the field

Mississippi State will commemorate one of the program's most famous games in recent memory -- maybe the most famous game --

Remember it like it was yesterday. Sat in my den watching every minute. It was a great game to watch and I was proud the Bulldogs won.

What the heck. Everything was covered in snow and you wore all WHITE. Our QB threw three picks because you were all WHITE in a stadium full of snow in a Blizzard.

And it is your best game ever?

I remember being in Shreveport that morning. It was clear..not a cloud in the sky. It wasn't even that cold. We left that morning to head back to Cleveland, MS and I got home just in time to see the snow falling hard in Cleveland. I turned on the game and there was a freakin blizzard in Shreveport.

I think State should step it up one more notch and get a shite ton of fake snow.

If current A&M rumor mongering is to be believed, when y'all honor Jackie Sherrill at halftime of this game, you'll be honoring A&M's Athletic Director.
