Can't base ANYTHING on NFL logic.

who is underrating them? I mean Mississippi State has been ranked last in the west preseason the last 8 years and never finished last. so once again what is the underlying ratings we are going after to base our opinion on.

Deion Jones has to be the answer
Wasnt even named ALL-SEC 1st or second team (100 total tackles (13.5 tackles-for-loss), five sacks, two interceptions, one pick-six, three passes defended, and one forced fumble), yet in the NFL he is now all rookie team and a pro bowler

Can't believe Deion Jones hasn't been mentioned.
He is the easy answer for this thread

Well just the way I see it, Clearly Dak was not underrated by SEC Coaches/Media as well as the National Media/Voters for awards as he was named a member of 2 straight All SEC teams and finalist for a few awards.
Underrated certainly coming out of high school who then eventually played to above his rating.

Shaw and Anthony Dixon are good picks. I’ll throw Mike Hilton out there. A flyer we took in a transition class. Got his first start as a freshman to spy on Johnny Manziel. Was a constant disruptive force for four years. Now doing it in the nfl.

30 touchdowns and one turnover his senior year. And never made All-SEC team.
Had that been done in Tuscaloosa he'd be an All American.

I remember Kamara being good in college, but had no idea he'd become a superstar like he has.
I don't really remember any hype about either Deion Jones or Duke Riley, they just happened to be starters on LSU's defense.

Renny Curran from Georgia. Dude played like Roquan Smith, he was just a little shorter.

The name that immediately jumps into my head is J.K. Scott. Things would have been vastly different without the guy.

He was a Butkus Award finalist.
But being a backup for 3 seasons definitely made him overlooked for All Conference behind Reggie Raglund, Kentrell Brothers, Zach Cunningham, Antonio Morrison, Skai Moore, and Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Leonard Floyd

Not a good comparison. The game was the day before Dak's mother died. She had urged him to make the trip and play, but he was pretty distracted. Shaw had a 39.2 QBR in the game. The USC D won that game.
