2017 Auburn.

Beat the two teams in the National Title each by double digits.

Kerryon missed the Clemson game early in the season and was injured for the SEC title after a couple of hits he took in the Iron Bowl.

2018 Mississippi State.

No reason that defense shouldn’t have won 10 games besides Moorhead being a dipshite.

Arguably an all time SEC defense with three SEC first round picks and a bunch of other later round picks around them.

Followed them up with a beatdown from UCF resulting in these.

AU fans are suffering from selective amnesia. They forget that they were blasted out of the Benz by UGA a few weeks later. Georgia beat the tiger crap outta them and literally made the Aubies cry like a little girl.

1988 Florida had a ton of good players - Emmitt Smith running behind a great O-line and a stout defense led by Trace Armstrong, David Williams and Louis Oliver (all of whom were All-Americans and first round draft picks).

They started out hot (5-0 and highly ranked), then lost to Memphis State at home and got routed by an absolutely anemic Vandy team at Dudley field. It was all downhill from there, with Daddy Bowden delivering the death blow in a blowout as all eyes turned to Duke where legendary alum Spurrier was guiding the Blue Devils to a surprising ACC championship.

ETA - Johnny Majors also had a very talented Tennessee team in 1988 that started 0-6.

2016 LSU was absolutely stacked. Probably my favorite LSU team that didn’t make it to NC game. Defense was loaded and offense had a ton of talent. I thought Brandon Harris was going to take a step forward for in his junior season and be a dude. And Les was suppose to change the offense, ya right huh.

I remember fans and media picking to go 11-1 at worst and make the playoffs. Probably the most confidence I’ve ever had going into a season.

2005 Tennessee. To go 5-6 with that roster was a disgrace.

Yeah, how does anyone go 5-6 with ... uh ... Rick Clausen and Erik Ainge behind center?

Arian Foster does not a roster make.

Well since Arian Foster was a backup running back, I agree that he “doesn’t make a roster.”
