Atlanta may ride with Ryan one more season
They don't have much of a choice after they stupidly restructured him again. His dead money next year makes it impossible to cut him. His contract is an albatross around this team's neck. Dimitroff fricked up their salary cap so, so badly.
Supposedly, the only two options to get under the salary cap were to restructure Matt Ryan or trade/cut Deion Jones. I'd have moved on from Jones to make it easier to move on from Ryan. That team needs a complete teardown and rebuild but Arthur Blank won't admit it to himself.

Yes - Ryan is here through 2022. He isn't awful yet, but Atlanta is stuck in neutral for another year with him and his salary hit. Need to build the defense next draft and then hopefully strike gold with a young cheap QB that performs for 2023 and beyond.

What's crazy is Falcons need to upgrade nearly every position group, especially the OL. But literally don't have the $$ to do anything....and you can't draft enough players to fix everything that needs fixing. Not sure how the Falcons got here.

Bad draft picks and then doubling down on bad draft picks with terrible contracts. Also, Dimitroff restructured a lot of contracts to try and win now, kicking the salary cap issues down the road. The bill is coming due.

He's catching everything around the LOS, which is why he only averages 8 yards per catch. It's like they don't try to stretch the field with him and his speed at all.
That's because the Dolphins' OL makes LSU's look like the Seven Blocks of Granite. Brisset is having to duck and evade before he gets the shotgun snap.

I know Jarvis Landry was a possession receiver and the play callers were different but Landry had the same thing happen to him. He had 2 seasons under 10 ypc. Weird

I'm hopeful Ben retires this year.

Wrong thread.

Yep. Ben is cooked. The crazy thing is Najee also leads the NFL in dropped passes. He is just getting peppered with targets.

Diggs has been surprisingly good, but no, you're not.
Oh yes, he is right. According to Sports Illustrated, Alabama has more dbs on NFL rosters than any other team. In fact it's one of 5 position groups Alabama leads in the NFL.
Oh yeah, and I did find this thread. Thanks for alerting me!! Ain't you glad?
Active Alabama Crimson Tide Players in the NFL by Position
Not only does Alabama have the most former players in the NFL, but it has the most at many position groups as well
When the NFL took stock of team rosters during Kickoff Weekend last year, which is the only time it does a league-wide snapshot in terms of personnel because everything is fluid the rest of the year, Alabama had the most players of any college program.
It wasn't close, either. The Crimson Tide led by a wide margin.
But it especially dominated at a few positions.
For example, there were six former Crimson Tide running backs on active rosters.
There were also six defensive tackles.
Alabama had 10 former linebackers in the league, and 13 defensive backs.
That was the most of any school among those position groups.
The only college program that had the most players at more than one position group was Florida, with four centers, and was tied with Oklahoma for the most offensive tackles with five.

The rare post-Germans thread response melt. Not seen since the 1952 Winter Games in Oslo.
