It is really disappointing to me that this isn't a thread that's based on teams by their given year, but here goes:

Notre Dame
Michigan
Miami
Boise
Virginia Tech

Or maybe defining what overrated means. Pollsters pre/post season opinions? Ranking at end of championship Saturday versus bowl results? And then...what time period?
=========================
Maybe final regular season ranking versus bowl results against comparable OOC...over say last 10 years?

So underrated by 30 (if you use 25 as base for UR)? Yet they probably wouldn't have finished 6th in this conference. I'm not sure this really means anything.

26 is the base for UR. Underrated by 22.

Notre Dame - a team of the 20th century.

Texas - Smoke and mirrors.

Any Big X team - slow and cold, but they sure are smart. Or so they say.

USC - just for shits and giggles. They pose the only threat to SEC hegemony, IMO.

One loss is a lot better than two.... If you know what I mean.

If 33 games played in Tiger Stadium v. 9 games at Kyle is no big deal and shouldn't be considered, perhaps LSU would agree to play at Kyle for the next 10 years in a row, just to even out the home/away stats.

What say ye, Tigahs?

LSU.

More talent than they know what to do with and meh production. If I was an LSU fan I would have already had multiple blood pressure issues due to their pure ineptitude (at times) on offense. But of course, Cam is gonna fix it all, so no worries right?

I mean, losing to clemson? On a 4th and whatever? with all that talent on D? Cmon.

Boise- decent, scrappy mid-major who plays one legit team a year, and turns that into a top 10 ranking most of the time.

This doesn't mean they suck, I just think they're maybe somewhere in the bottom of the top 25.

Comparison- La Tech had a Boise type season and didn't play in a bowl. Houston had one the year before and made a minor bowl. But Boise gets BCS talk nearly every season for the last half decade
