I really believe Mullen and Petrino are terrific coaches and Miles has proven himself in the SEC so the answer to this question is Gus Malzahn by default.
Miles and Malzahn are the only head coaches with NC rings.

How the frick is Mathieu over rated?
I see a lot of hype from LSU fans about him and he hasn't been a full time starter yet (one of the top 2 cover corners), and he may not even win the full time starting job. I've seen LSU fans call him the 2nd coming of PP7, he switched to #7, and he's had at least 3 nicknames already and he's only a sophomore (little ball of hate, t-rex, t-raw).
No one has voted for him yet. My order for most overhyped would be: 1. Richardson, 2. Wilson, 3. Mathieu, 4. Relf.

If he was on any team in tHe SEC who the frick wouldn't hype him up after putting up the numbers he did as a FRESHMAN?

Mathieu or Knile Davis- I want to see what he does if Wilson doesn't pan out, and teams start to load the box.
LSU- They lost their best player on the dline, linebacker corps, and secondary. Also Stevan Ridley at RB and Terrence Tolliver on Offense. To go along with a inconsistent Jordan Jefferson at QB.
Chizik or Mullen- Auburn fans act like Chizik is going to be one of the SEC's elite coaches in the upcoming years. If he wins 9 games this year I will take this statement back, but till then he has had one great player, and one great OC that have carried his team, and his defense which is suppose to be his expertise.
Mullen has only beat the SEC west cellar dwellers. Till he beats Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, and Auburn he is on the overhyped list.

Yet Bama lost their top RB, WR, and QB. No idea what you're getting at QB and who is y'alls #1 WR? Little Maze?

bobby petrino, his team and his quarterback (you know, the one that hasn't been tested but is the best to ever play the game).

WTH is this guy? I seriously have no idea what team he plays for.

I agree we lost our best two players on offense (Ingram,Julio). Mcelroy is a loss, but was not one of the top 3 players on offense. Last year our best 3 players on that side of the ball were Ingram, Julio, and Barrett Jones. I just think LSU lost Key players on each side of the ball unlike Alabama where we just lost people on the offensive side of the ball.

I think Arkansas will start the season ranked around 10, and finish in the top 5. However, I could definitely see us stumbling and finishing the season ranked around 15th-20th, in which case our team would have been overrated and you would be right.

How the hell is petrino being over hyped?
Wilson is for sure
LSU for a team.
Coach- none really.
Eta: not directed toward you specifically.

Player - Chris Relf, very mediocre at best QB yet it seems like so many places are trying to paint him into a top QB in this league...the dude stunk against good competition last year sans Arkansas.
Team - Auburn, yeah, they are probably getting rated as high as they are because they just won a NC, but bottom line is this team will not be good at all. They lost everything that made them good last year, and more. They return the least amount of people on their 2-deep than ANYONE in the country, by a LONG shot.
Coach - Not really sure, haven't seen one "coach" in particular get overly hyped.

He was injured majority of the season, and was suspended for the first 3 games. You saw the real Dareus in the Auburn game. Thats why he was drafted so high. Not because of what he did on the field in 2010, but on potential and how he played when healthy.

No Spencer Ware; well then, I won't play!

Not on the list. And we're more talented now, which will keep us from being too bad. 7-5 or 8-4 is likely, which isn't hype at all. You really can't make any case for AU being overhyped

I see slight shades of 2007.
