The game is over, LSU lost, you can't go back and change it - but that was pass interference. He was draped on his leg before the ball was tipped. At the very least they should have called holding.

the ball was tipped after they molest Doucet. Brock tips it AFTER contact. dont know how yall can see it any different. PI or illegal contact was the right call. let us not forget the jacob hester catch/no catch and David "i cant even piss at the urinal without talking shite" irons pass interference on Lafell before the half. he had to remove his hands from under his jersey. all modern day lsu?au games have a nickname. That one will always be "REFGATE"

in no sense of football reality was the play called correctly. doucet was held before the tipped pass. it's pass interference in any football game ever played.
You're right, but they called pass interference and not holding. Therefore when you go back to review they have to make a ruling based on PI. The ball was tipped and therefore no pass interference...If they called holding they wouldn't have turned it over.

yes, bammers, cory webster got away with that shove in 2004. yes, gators, the SEC had a huge amount of pressure to have a 1 vs 2 in the seccg featuring the tebow. hence, the bullshite called on arky. yes, dawgs, that was total bs on AJ Green in 2009. it happened right in front of me. And, yes felow tigers, PP had BOTH fkin feet inbounds in 2009.

Um. No but keep grasping. Do you guys not even believe it when several officials confirm it was correct? Even nfl officials?
LSU butthurt over this game is priceless though.

Are we counting bowl games? Because the 2010 Music City Bowl has to be one of the most infamous ever given that the NCAA changed the rules over it:
quote:
Aftermath
Because of the 4th quarter situation in which North Carolina's foul stopped the clock, a rule change was made effective beginning with the 2011 season. The new rule calls for a 10-second runoff to be assessed in addition to any yardage penalty when the offense commits a foul that causes a clock stoppage, unless the penalized team opts to take a time out.[6] Had these rules been in effect for this game, since North Carolina had no time outs left it would have ended as a 20-17 Tennessee victory.
Two years later, the NCAA adopted additional rules stipulating that at least three seconds must be left in the half for a team to spike the ball and stop the clock for another play. It is not known whether this game specifically led to that rule, but had these rules been in effect for this game, it would have ended as a 20-17 Tennessee win regardless of any penalties.

What about the poor Ole Miss fans throwing bottles and shoes and shite after their receiver went out of bounds then came back in making the catch and the refs called it back. Awesome.

Still illegal contact, at least.
Cannot make contact after 5 yards.
But that whole game was bullshite.
Should be called the "Auburn got away with one" game.
The announcers must have said that phrase at least a dozen times.

No Auburn fan can make that argument with a straight face. It was a clear PI, the flag was thrown, the penalty announced, and then the refs went full retard.

Well considering multiple refs have made the same call in different games, goes along with the rule book, and hell even the ex head of nfl officiating stated that type of call was a good call, I'm not sure what's so hard to grasp.

The waved PI call was terrible. Doucet clearly could have made a play on the ball if his arm wasn't grabbed. Doesn't matter if the ball was tipped if the interference occurred beforehand.
