This. The writer says that they are "selling" for an average of $763. But that's just the average list price of the tickets left, not the average sale price of the tickets already sold. I could list 4 tickets to the REO Speedwagon reunion tour for $100,000 a piece but that doesn't mean I'll get them sold at that price.

Maybe on that site. Honestly I suspect that the real most expensive regular season game ever is 2006 OSU vs Michigan.
And tickets for the 2011 LSU-Bama game were in the low 4 digits when I looked for them.

LSU-Bama in 2011 was 2k for any decent seats and 1k for upper deck seats.
This is a joke compared to that game for many reasons and Bama is going to roll this year.

This is the most expensive regular season ticket in history. The average price is $50 more than the Most Boring Game of the Century. Rather than exhibiting your hurt over it, take it up with the WSJ or just deal with it.
