The ADs technically aren't the ones who are spending the money on the football rosters. With that being said, the ADs can direct boosters to spend money on other things than the football team if the football team isn't doing well.

Gotta spend money if you want to have a successful program. We'll keep spending until we finally hit.

Just for the record...no one thinks that A&M matches up with LSU's historical success.

Check how much you spend and compare it to a team like UGA or Alabama. All the money in the world wont mean shite if the coaching isnt good enough. Not to say I dont think Elko isnt a good coach, he just still has a lot to learn.

Texas also spends way more than us or Alabama and what has that gotten them? Theyre currently ranked 1 but only because of the defense. The team could round into form offensively eventually I would bet they would but just because they do deserve to be ranked number 1 based on resume does anyone actually believe theyre the best football team in the country right now? Gun to your head? Id take likely at least 8-9 teams over them neutral field currently.
