They never faced 7 games against teams that have a good chance to beat them.
They went 6-7 just two years ago, had several 4-5 loss seasons under Stoops, and didn't win more than 7 games in a season in the Big 12 until year 5 of the conference. Yes they were the class of the conference over the long term but to act like next year's schedule is some sort of buzzsaw the likes of which they've never seen just isn't true.

Texas has the easiest sec conference schedule. Someone gifted that easy arse schedule to them
Also SEC Rant: “Texas joins the sec and now their schedule full of SEC teams is so easy. Why do those big meanies always get their way!!!

MurphyGator has to be the most obvious aggie sock on this website. Doesn’t talk about Florida one iota but spends his entire existence bitching about a school nobody in his family was smart enough to attend

Bama. Won’t make the playoff and they’ll think Saban’s legacy is burning to the ground.
No one in the SEC has paid more for a transfer roster than Ole Miss. Failure is getting very expensive in Oxford. I'm predicting Kiffin will be getting less cute by the end of the season.

quote:Nah, I think Riley packing his bags and leaving for LA in the middle of the night shocked them back to reality. They took advantage of Texas wandering the desert with sub-par coaching hires (who still managed to occasionally beat them in Dallas) in the decade after Mack Brown left, but the gravy train is over.
Oklahoma is used to being a top dog but I think they are going to be shocked by their first SEC schedule.

One team that most LSU fans have been saying that LSU will make the playoff.
Maybe try that in English this time??

Only four blowout losses in that time frame. Great job Kelly.
This is a really idiotic statement even for you, which is saying something.

OM. We'll get beat by Georgia and slide into that #13 spot before the first 12 team playoff.
This is the one.

Definitely Georgia. They're in for a rough ride.

Mizzou fans have the most unrealistic expectations.
Unrealistic considering how we have handled elevated expectations in the past.
Sadly for you, we have legitimate reason for excitement in the immediate future.
I would say Tennessee is set up for the most disappointment in the upcoming season... but everything you have done over the past 25 years has been disappointing.

Maybe try to make the SEC championship game first.
That makes no sense. It's easier to make a 12 team CFP than the conference championship game in a 16 team SEC. 2023 was a perfect example. Neither Mizzou or Ole Miss played in Atlanta and both would have made the playoff.
It wouldn't surprise me to see the SEC get four or even five teams into the playoff regularly. Especially since an eight game conference schedule means that the best teams in the conference often won't play each other in the regular sesson.
