If Schottenheimer was gonna install a new offense, he should've done it in the spring. Waiting until fall was sheer insanity.

The article said he did it the day before spring practice began. The problem came in when he did not tell Pruitt. Pruitt would, I am guessing, make certain alterations to his defense to mesh better with the offense, but he felt he was not given enough time to make any changes.

Agreed. Nobody cares at this point. it was brought up and a couple of posters asked about it, so I understand hwy he posted it. But I would just as soon not air dirty laundry out in public, personally.

read it wrong. Did say he installed in spring and not fall. Still, should have had the QBs working on it a week before spring. Supposedly, Richt wanted to run the offense again and GM and others said no. Thank God Kirby is running the show now.

I agree with you that the day before spring is way too late. I only corrected you for clarity.

I don't have a big problem with it. I personally think it should have been kept on our own board, but there was a couple of posters from other fan bases asking about it, so I don't have a big problem with it.

Even if I didn't/don't care for it on here, I wouldn't be upset with the poster. I just prefer stuff like this to be kept on our board. More of a "me" problem, than a "they" problem, if that makes sense.

It involves a head coach at another school and had been discussed on here. You also have people like Finebaum weighing in on it and Pollack an Murray, who are Dawgs, but national sports guys now.

The notion that "nobody cares" is really short sighted. Maybe you think no one at Georgia cares...and I think they're gonna care a helluva lot when Pruitt comes back to town on Sept 29. But the relevance of this article as it pertains to the question of whether or not Jeremy Pruitt has the skill set to be the CEO of a major SEC football program is obvious.

So pretty much everything rumored about Pruitt in his last year at Georgia was true. It's unsurprising that Saban was able to keep him in line with his strong mind, and it's very much an interesting question of if whether he's grown mentally since then, and can be a successful CEO/coach of a...shite not just SEC head coach, but major college football head coach, without a strong mind to keep him in line.

The real question is what happens if things go badly. If a game goes bad or a season goes bad, can Pruitt control himself. If he doesn't get something he wants can he control his temper. He's already thrown Tennessee fans under the bus, something he hasn't earned the right to do yet, in my opinion. Attacking fans in your first 6 months is not the way to win them over. Of course winning solves a lot of problems.

Regardless of what happened I'm glad we got Pruitt in to clean house and open the door for Kirby. If Pruitt hadn't acted a fool and put everyone from the previous coaching staff to the administration in their places, the road wouldn't have been as smooth for Kirby.

I think after all the crap happened at the end of Richt's tenure it made the admins more willing to relinquish control of the ins and outs of the football program to Kirby

Having said that Pruitt is a twat who should have been thrown out of Athens.

Nah, if it wasn't for Pruitt we wouldn't have an Indoor practice facility. Yea Kirby would have come in and demanded it, but Pruitt got it done sooner rather than later. Pruitt may have also spoke out of place at times, but he got shite done, whereas Richt was told no and continued to accept it.

We would have had an IPF. It was already being planned. He may have sped it up somewhat. We didn't get it by the time he said it would be done.

The IPF would probably be under construction right now and our endzone locker room project would be nothing but a plan on paper.
