Pruitt vs. Richt
Sorry to the Bama and Cock fans too lazy to click, but it's extremely long. Richt was certainly part of the problem.

Like I said in the Georgia forum. We all knew Richt got lazy, complacent, and too damn comfortable. He was winning ten games a year without having to stress himself.
Having said that Pruitt is a twat who should have been thrown out of Athens. He caused a lot of the in-fighting even if Richt had checked out. Richt just wasn't man enough to do it.

Its read, not click and you might want to paraphrase that article.

No, they did indeed complain about having to "click" not "read". I'm not gonna cut and paste a short story. And you either want to read it or you don't. I'm not writing cliff notes. Maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Athens native and former UGA QB Fran Tarkenton told 680 The Fan that November: “This staff that is over there today - and I am going to be very kind about it - it is not functioning properly.”
Tarkington was correct - Georgia's football program had become a mess. And the consequences were severe.

Georgia’s president and administration took Pruitt’s impromptu press conference that night as a shot at them. That, even though the planning for an indoor facility had already begun, Pruitt was saying that it should be completed on the timeline he suggested rather than those responsible for completing the project.
??Simply put: Many took it as the first of several shots Pruitt would take at Georgia and its leaders. Georgia’s president Jere Morehead told Pruitt not to act out like that in public again. Nonetheless, Pruitt was given his new contract weeks after he ranted about the lack of a practice facility. ??
No, Pruitt had not been fired midweek in November of 2015. But what was not known at the time publicly was that Pruitt would not be allowed to return to UGA - no way. The games in November 2015 were the final few games he would coach at Georgia. UGA officials and many boosters had seen enough. It was time to move on from Pruitt - no matter Richt’s fate. ??

Maybe that's enough to get them reading.

I honestly don't care if they do or don't. This topic was discussed. I'm not promoting the article or trying to earn "clicks". It was discussed over here. I found the article interesting. If they don't want to take my word for it, I'm okay with that. I'm sure many couldn't care less since it doesn't involved their teams. I'm okay with that too.

You directly state its a long story. Are we supposed to read your mind that you had issues in another thread or something

Who is lazy here? You created the thread, at least provide good content

Yeah, was discussed just a few days ago. The article is timely.

Richts shelf life at UGA had expired and Pruitt should have been told to worry about the defense. Offenses are harder to put in than defenses and keeping the old o was not going to work with a new staff.
It was just time. Pruitt will either be a huge success or a Trainwreck in Knoxville. See no middle ground.

You can ignore my posts from now on. I won't lose any sleep. The content is in the article. You can read a little and decide for yourself...or not. I couldn't give two turds and a fart.

If Schottenheimer was gonna install a new offense, he should've done it in the spring. Waiting until fall was sheer insanity.

Agree, but should have made it clear when he was hired.

Long story short...
Richt was stepping back from day to day running of the program. Bobo was slowly taking the reins, but left for Colorado State, leaving a vacuum. Pruitt stepped in.
Shottenheimer, after agreeing to stick with Bobo's offense for the first year, changed it to his own without telling Pruitt.
There were problems at a practice in which Pruitt showed Richt up. Administration had enough of Pruitt and decided not to let him return regardless of Richt's fate.

Serious question. Who cares? They both have moved on to other schools and this was years ago.
