Thanks for this post LSU GrandDad. I don't get on here often, so don't know how often this occurs, but it is sad to see some measure their own success on the basis of a game played by young men. I have followed the Tide since the '40s and even during the "Ears" Whitworth years, have never been embarassed by guys playing as well as they can. Some fans make the process of enjoying the sport a little more difficult.

I look forward to our game on Nov. 3rd. Should be a good one.

i, and a lot of other fans, gained a lot of respect for sheldon richardson when he apologized to richt immediately after the game.

everyone does/says stupid stuff, not many are big enough to apoligize, especially in that type of situation.

on the other hand, mizzou fans will probably have "old man football" thrown in their faces for many more years.

You've probably seen it already, but Matter tweeted that Elvis could be back by Oct 6 and it looks like Ruth will make it back by November (better late than never I suppose).

This team still gets 6 wins (this weekend looks like a pivotal battle though) and still possibly gets 7 wins. Lets not implode yet. I know you haven't Kilo, and I know kills does this stuff for more effect than anything, but still.. at least some good news in this shite storm we are going through.

Whats funny (or odd) is Ruth was having beers at the tailgate I was at before the Georgia game. I figured he was done for the year when I saw that. Not that drinking is bad, but I'm trying to imagine myself drinking before one of my games when I was hurt... I woulda been hung by my coach.

I'm warming up to Porker. He sorta seems like family now considering his frequent contributions in Mizzou threads. Sorta like a cuddly retarded cousin.

mogray, I like your enthusiasm. But it's just to painful to talk how many wins we'll get this year. It's a romantic thought before play begins. But as we've seen how things can take a dive, I'd just be happy to see a running game right now, or maybe some more of those deep slant patterns for TD's. But most of all, I'd just like to see an offense that has the desire to put there foot up somebody's arse!
