This thread already has 12 pages - proof positive that Mizzou belongs in the SEC. I just wish LSU would call themselves the Bengals and Auburn would favor War Eagles. There're too many Tigers in the conference.

Um wasn't that the reason behind expansion...to get a bigger TV contract for the SEC network. SEC needed more metro areas, more states with bigger populations, etc. SEC had to go out of the old SEC states to get a better deal. The same reason why the Big Ten went into Maryland, Nebraska and New Jersey, Pac 12 Went into Colorado and Utah. ACC picked up a team from Kentucky and New York.
There was a reason why the SEC took Mizzou over WVU even though WVU have a rabid fan base, been to BCS bowls, Final 4, etc. Population of West Virginia is low, Academics suck, etc. No value of bringing them into the SEC in terms of money, better school/image for the conference, etc. Big 12 added them and they don't even border any Big 12 states, talk about desperation.

No, you keep saying this because you can't convince yourself that Missouri has redeeming qualities over other SEC states. You'll have to find something else to make you feel better about the beatings your teams have been taking.
Missouri is worse than most southern states, stop trying to place the northern elitist card
