Vanderbilt’s current average recruit rating is 86.49, which is slightly above their average but wouldn’t be the best class they’ve had in the past few years. And your title sure seemed to be calling out Mizzou more so than hyping up Vandy.

Fun fact, the only time in the past 5 years when Vandy didn’t have the lowest ranked class in the conference was when they finished 13th above your beloved Gamecocks in 2021

thought it was interesting that Bama is so low at the moment.

Alabama only has 14 commitments at the moment. Pretty usual for this time of year for Saban and staff. However, they also have the third highest average on 247 rankings. They are expected to add WR Amari Jefferson on Saturday. If they do, their ranking jumps to #9. That’s how volatile rankings are right now. It’s pointless to make some grand analysis of the field 4.5 months before NSD.

Great questions. Did you know there is an SEC Recruiting board just a few clicks away on this very website? But as long as your are here.....

Yeah that was because I figured no one would give a shite about a Vandy thread, sorry bout that. But I was honestly surprised by Mizzou, and yes, I know it’s early. Good point about Vandy being above their average.

Drink is your daddy so you had to create a conversation around (way too early) recruiting rankings.

For reference, here are the rankings from the past two years (per 247):

2022:
MIZ - 18 SC - 24
2021:
MIZ - 28 SC - 80

Additionally, MIZ has a 4 game win streak against the cocks with an overall record of 8-5.

Maybe you should do some reflection on who is really slipping

Way too early. UK has several big targets in the fold. Not worried here.

Never said y’all were, but damn the sensitivity. I have no issue with saying when Carolina sucked and in 2020, when the 21 class was recruited, we sucked (but it’s our fault, we hired Muschamp).

Minor correction, the last two recruiting classes were 2022 and 2023 and if since you want to be petty, 2023: SC 18, Mizzou 32

If you’re insinuating that Missouri is going to have a run on recruits like Bama does every year I know that’s not the case … it will be a below average recruiting year for you guys .

Signing day is a long day away buddy is this your first time following recruiting? Mizzou will finish around 7-10 in the conference, possibly higher if they land both 5* they’re currently leading for including the top defensive recruit in the country

You really replying to me? If so, this post above makes no sense.

They will increase the number. Even if they're mostly 3-stars that will cause their ranking to go way up. They only have 11 commits right now (Vandy has 21 and a lower average player ranking).

The real question is not where you rank in the SEC but nationally.

Actually no. You can be ranked 10th Nationally and be 6th in the SEC. If you are ranked highly in the SEC you will be highly ranked nationally.

Early signing day is in December. I realize that reality can go right over the head of a Gamecock fan. Now tell us what you don't know about the magic portal.

And I know reading comp is hard for you, did I say that Bama is slipping? No, I pointed out how that argument had been used in another thread.
