I think it's unfair to Indiana or Minnesota to say that they are incapable of winning the B1G unless it's a down year for the entire conference.
It was meant a bit tongue in cheek remark but there seems to be some truth in it. Money and recruiting affect college football and to ignore it long term is foolish. Football in the SEC is "the six" more than "the one" or "the two" you see in other conferences. For Indiana or Minnesota to be up it means by default that Michigan, Ohio State, and maybe 1 other team is not winning. Conference play is a zero sum game in that a winner must produce a loser.
Perhaps the correct statement would be for Indiana or Minnesota to win the B1G the 4 best historical teams are probably all down at the same time instead of just 1 or 2.

Actually talking about the first 4 games.
But since you mentioned it. ..Georgia has a defense just a little bit better than atm from the get go...before any injuries.
Fla's offense can't score more than 20 on a high school team....they got beat by lsu who lost to ol miss. and Boom stated they had 13 players on defense that were unhurt.
Playing so many cupcakes early is obviously a good idea because the starters don't have to get beat up so bad so early in the season.

fair enough

So, everytime Catfan arrives in a Mizzou thread with raging attitude, the Mizzou folks are to blame?
Makes sense. Carry on.

I'm upset that I just read this entire thread and learned nothing, except some circular logic theorems. All of this scheduling nonsense will sort itself out in the next few weeks.
If Mizzou wins this weekend, I will be just as pleasantly surprised as our other conference wins.

I was under the impression that the SEC set our conference schedule, which in large part determines where our OOC cupcakes go. Not sure why everyone else continues to bitch about this.

Wow thanks - I actually did not realize the distinction. Still not sure I'm 100% clear on it.
We should get together and have drinks when I'm in Atlanta later in the year. You seem like you would be fun to hang with.

I'm glad you acknowledge learning something (and recognize the circular logic). Theorem, eh... I guess so. It really gets to the heart of what SEMO and others are talking about too. If you aren't an elite to begin with it's hard to get any credit. The inverse is true (see overrated texas, USC, Ohio State, etc.)

Excuses, as they say, are for losers.

Correct on both counts. It sad to see when mental illness starts to overtake someone...

I don't get why everybody just doesn't get along. It's such a happy day.

What separates a good team from a bad one?
A good team takes total advantage of their opportunities
That's all that needs to said here

My god, Mark May and Brian Griese are absolutely knobbing Mizzou on the UK-MSU pre-game show right now!
Showing the superior Missouri blocking schemes and playmakers and outexecuting their opponents.
It's gotta just kill those UK coal miners hearing all that positive Mizzou pub getting shoved up in their grills.
