It isn't, at all. (at least it shouldn't be).

Its athiests who always preemptively bring this stuff up. Christians are simply defending their beliefs.

Its ok for libs to generalize and stereotype. Don't believe it, just ask them.

It's really not about Christianity, at least for most people. It's just the people who oppose it are really likely to be Christian as well. Plus it's the best defense they've got at this point.

There are plenty of Christians who don't care. They just lumped into the social conservative crowd by the more militant atheists.

Absolutely. Now, I thought I told you to get out of here with your logic and common sense.

To be fair I haven't seen many militant atheists in this discussion, but I guess it all depends on one's perspective. I can see how some Christians would perceive some comments coming from militant atheists.

Yep. Most of my posts have been an effort to show that Christianity itself and many Christians have no hatred/disdain/etc. for homosexuals and aren't crusading for legislation that discriminates against them. And that people that use Christianity to justify bigotry are not being true to Biblical teaching about how Christians should treat other people.

And you need to just shut the frick up and accept your bigot label and like it. Getting tired of your logic and reason, tbh, WDE

Plenty of us non-believers understand that as well.

The fact is, most of us are just trying to be better people. Be it for God, Self, whatever reason. Our beliefs on the origin of the universe aside, we're all in the same fight.

You are right but at the same time it is irresponsible for Christians to praise/promote deviant behavior that is at ends with God's will.

The best comparison would be the woman at the well, who was being ostracized from her town for being a prostitute. Jesus condemned those judging her, then told her her sins are forgiven and go and sin no more.

Jesus forgave her sins, but told her to stop at the same time. As Christians we should do the same. Be forgiving, but aim to get them to repent and change their ways.

Too many atheists and pro gay Christians forget the part of that parable where Jesus said go and sin no more.
