well I've also stated that I believe the Bible was written by man, and also likely changed by man throughout the years.

Of course it is. There really is no debating this.

All that should matter, even to those who consider homosexuality a sin.

No it isn't.

Yes it is. It's not the majority opinion, and there are numerous contributing factors. But many historians feel the spread of Christianity was one of the main contributors to the fall.

And I did realize I left out a key word in my original statement. It should have read ONE of the main reasons.

Rome fell because it's army turned into a mercenary force of non-Romans, and lead poisoning from the lead cased wine containers.

This thread is all over the map. It started by one man proclaiming he is gay (which should not be breaking news), then turned into a religious battle of sorts and now we are discussing the fall of Rome. God bless the SEC Rant.

Rome falling because of Christianity is about as ignorant as saying the Confederacy lost because of Christianity. its incredibly ignorant and if you had a professor say it then you need to ask for your money back because they wasted their time.

and Rome didnt fall because it accepted homosexuality, just as ignorant a thought process. thats like saying Sodom was destroyed because they hoisted gay pride flags which is completely ignoring how awful that city was in every freaking way the mind could imagine.

Please don't compare gay rights with African Americans civil rights smh

I never compared them as movements, smh, just compared the bigots who attacked both movements with arguments that are "biblical" in nature. As far as the Fall of Rome, it is a multi-layered topic with no one cause. BTW I am a history teacher so I know a few things about the past.

You're welcome to your opinion but it isn't ignorant to theorize that the rise of Christianity contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire. There's a wealth of scholarship on the topic. 100% of it, it appears, that you're unfamiliar with.

Missouri is trying to get a jump start on the recruitment of gay football players. "Come to Mizzu, a place where you can open up"

I've known he was gay for over a year. A friend of mine that goes to Mizzou knew a guy that was banging him. I never felt the need to bring it here though.
