2. Why is he so narcissistic that, he thinks anyone cares about his sexual orientation?

So it would have been better for him to be outted in the media first?

That was going to happen very soon if he did not jump out ahead of that.

You understand the only reason why he came out was because he was going to be outed by a media member right? He also isn't going to do any interviews about his sexuality. He came out because he had to

I mean he didn't want to come out. At least that's my understanding. this has nothing to do with himself wanting to get attention and everything to do with him not wanting the media to out him and control the storuv

Because they are not seeking tolerance. Almost every opinion on this board that speaks out against homosexuality is viewed by the "homosexual movement" as being intolerant of Michael Sams. This despite the fact that the movement itself is unquestionably intolerant of other's views. The homosexual movement, pop culture in general and many gay people who speak out publicly aren't trying to get people to stop persecuting or discriminating against gays -- they want everyone to openly acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. Unfortunately, there is. Adultery is a sin too, but if you asked whether sleeping with someone other than your spouse is wrong, everyone would say "yes, it is wrong". But if you say homosexuality is wrong, then you are a bigot. As a Christian, I hope Michael Sams ask for The Lord to forgive him for his sin at some point during his life -- however, one must realize there sinning before they can seek forgiveness for it. I will not forsake him by telling him what he is doing is not a sin.

So are tattoos, wearing blended fabrics, and eating shellfish "sins"? Because the Bible most definitely says they are.

oh noz. Life isn't fair sometimes.

rumors were out, he came out to set the record straight and control a part of his life, rather than letting some douchenozzle be the first to break the news

Ok. So what? If he smokes a joint and someone threatens a rumor, will he hold a press conference admitting to that as well? Again.. it's narcissism and "look at me".

Didn't read all 37 pages

Who cares? If he can play and help his team win is all that matters. Good for him.

Right. He told the media knowing it would out him as he's about to enter a profession that has a long history of being anti gay. Makes sense

When confronted or asked... "I have no comment."

That's not too tough.

1. It wasn't a huge secret on campus.

2. He came "out" to the entire team last August.

Wouldn't take much to find out.
